Occasionally Cake of Old Town Alexandria, Va. wants everyone to get out and vote, so from Thurs., Nov. 1 through Tues., Nov. 6 they’re selling Obama and Romney cookies for $1.75 per cookie or two for $3 and giving out FREE cupcakes on Tues., Nov. 6 when visitors show their “I Voted” sticker. “Voting is such a great privilege in this country, and no matter where you fall on the political scale, we encourage everyone to vote…and we’re making the deal even sweeter with a free cupcake on Tues., Nov. 6,” said Sabrina Campbell, owner of Occasionally Cake in Alexandria and Mount Vernon, Va. stores.

Both Alexandria cake boutiques offer more than 100 cake and gourmet cupcake flavors. Occasionally Cake is also renowned for their cake truffles. Instead of discarding leftover cake, it became the centerpiece of their cake truffles, and then dipped in Belgian chocolate.
