Occasionally Cake of Old Town Alexandria is hosting a FREE gingerbread house/gingerbread man cookie - decorating demonstration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 8 at 207 King Street in Old Town Alexandria. Both Alexandria cake boutiques offer more than 100 cake and gourmet cupcake flavors. Occasionally Cake is also renowned for their cake truffles. Instead of discarding leftover cake, it became the centerpiece of their cake truffles, and then dipped in Belgian chocolate.
Occasionally Cake opened its first cake shop in 2009 at 8859 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Va. and Old Town Alexandria opened at 207 King Street in 2012. The designer cake boutique specializes in custom cupcakes and specialty cakes. The King Street location features baking and cake-designing classes for all ages, hosts special events and parties, and offers a quaint bakery boutique with seating. Owned and established by cake designer, Sabrina Campbell, Occasionally Cake creates unique cake flavors and combinations. They have been voted Best New Business by the Mount Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce in Virginia, as well as Best in Show and Best in Taste for three years at the Chocolate Lovers Festival in Fairfax, Va.
