ACPS Summer School Students to Receive Free Meals

Alexandria's public school system will offer free meals at various campuses around the city.

Alexandria City Public Schools’ School Nutrition Services will sponsor the federal government's Summer Food Service Program at various schools throughout the city. Meals will be provided to all children up to age 18 at no charge.

Meals will be provided for high school grades 9 through 12 weekdays at the Minnie Howard Campus of T.C. Williams High School from July 9 through Aug. 2 and at the from Aug. 6 through Aug. 24.

Meals for middle school grades 6 through 8 will be available at Hammond Middle School Campus from July 9 through Aug. 14. campus will offer meals for grade 6 only on Aug. 13 and 14.

Elementary school meals will be available July 9 through July 22 at John Adams Elementary School, , William Ramsay Elementary School and .

The following schools will provide meals from July 30 through Aug. 17: George Mason, Douglas MacArthur and schools.

Patrick Henry and James K. Polk elementary schools will provide meals from Aug. 6 through Aug. 17.

John Adams, Charles Barrett Elementary School, Jefferson-Houston, Cora Kelly, and William Ramsay will provide meals from Aug. 13 through Aug. 17.

Signs will be posted at the main entrance at each school entrance where meals will be served. Meals must be consumed in designated spaces posted at each site. Times may change due to schedule adjustments. Correct times will be posted at each site.
