Alexandria Libraries Participate in State 'Snapshot Day'

Alexandria libraries are celebrating Snapshot Day on April 21 to better understand how many people visit the libraries as well as use computers and other resources there.

Alexandria libraries are participating in “Snapshot Day” on April 21 to illustrate how Virginia libraries impact their communities every day.

Snapshot Virginia is a project of the Virginia Library Association and the Library of Virginia, whose goal it is to collect data such as how many people visit the library, use computers and attend programs, among other things.

The Alexandria event on April 21 hopes to capture a slice of life in the Alexandria library system, which is also celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
