Armed Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank in Old Town Alexandria

No one was injured in the incident that occurred Saturday morning.

 

Alexandria police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank in Old Town Alexandria.

Around 9:23 a.m. Saturday, a man wearing a mask entered the bank, which is located at 330 N. Washington St. He displayed a knife and demanded money, according to police. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the bank. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a red and white hooded sweatshirt with a stripe down the arms, dark pants and a mask with a white face with fake blood on the cheek and eye area. He was also wearing dark gloves.

Recently, Bank of America in the 600 block of N. Washington St. was robbed.

Seems like we have more bank robberies than other local jurisdictions.
