Conrad's Furniture Closing by End of June
The furniture store is closing its Old Town Alexandria location this month and hopes to relocate elsewhere locally.
Conrad's Furniture Gallery located near the waterfront on King Street is closing shop by the end of this month.
The store's manager told a customer that rent had been doubled, making it impossible to stay in that location at 101 King St.
All of the store's inventory is currently discounted up to 50 percent.
The store, which also offers corporate and residential design services, hopes to relocate elsewhere in Old Town and is looking for a space.
