Dos Amigos Coming to Braddock Road
Tex-Mex restaurant preparing to open in former Grass Roots Station space.
Dos Amigos restaurant is moving into the former Grass Roots Station storefront at 535 E. Braddock Rd., near Braddock Road Metro station.
The restaurant will offer Tex-Mex cuisine with full wait staff and carryout orders, according to its permit application.
In May, Dos Amigos received approval from the city’s Planning Department to extend the hours of service from what was allowed at Grass Roots Station.
The restaurant will open at 6 a.m. seven days a week and close at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Under its permit, the restaurant can have 50 indoor seats and 10 outdoor seats.
Local architect Marlin Lord is helping oversee some interior renovations, including the addition of a bar. Lord recently oversaw the addition of a new dining room at Los Tios on Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Will you please have a restroom for the customers INSIDE the restaurant? This is not a gas station and a restroom is basic necessity. Not having restrooms was a big down fall for the other two restaurants.
