Police Investigate Robbery at TD Bank

Bank on South Washington Street was robbed Sunday afternoon.

TD Bank in Old Town Alexandria was robbed Sunday and Alexandria police have asked the public to offer any information that could help solve the case.

A man entered TD Bank at 119 S. Washington St. around 3:48 p.m., handed the teller a note implying a weapon and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank. No one was injured, according to a police statement.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard and approximately 6-foot-1 with a medium build. He was wearing a dark, hooded jacket, blue jeans and light-colored shoes.
