School Board Installation Ceremony Jan. 2
The new members of the School Board for Alexandria City Public Schools will be sworn in this week.
The Alexandria City School Board installation ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The ceremony will take place in the auditorium at the T.C. Williams High School Minnie Howard Campus, 3801 W. Braddock St.
A called meeting to elect the officers will follow at 6 p.m., and a reception will follow the meeting.
The new school board includes six first-time members and just two incumbents.
At 7 p.m. at T.C. Williams, the new City Council will be officially installed. In the November election, Democrats maintained control of city hall.
