Sheriff's Office Work Detail Decorates Old Town Alexandria
Inmates from the Detention Center have been providing this service since 2009.

The Alexandria Sheriff's Office Inmate Work Detail helps make Old Town look its most festive by decorating the King Street corridor with garlands, wreaths and bows.
The detail last week put seasonal greens on lamp posts for the Old Town Business and Professional Association. The IWD, carefully screened inmates under the direct supervision of deputy sheriffs, has been providing this service to the professional association since 2009.
