U.S. Senate Candidate Tim Kaine Visits Farmers Market
Former governor and U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine stopped by the Old Town Alexandria Farmers Market on Saturday morning.
Tim Kaine, former governor and currently a candidate running to represent Virginia in the U.S. Senate, stopped by Market Square on Saturday morning to mingle with locals visiting the Farmers Market.
Kaine plans to address the state Democratic Party convention at George Mason University on Saturday afternoon. He told Patch on Saturday morning for his address that he plans to "lay down the contrast" between himself and competitor George Allen.
He said he will focus on views on the economy, fiscal responsibility and working together.
At the event, Kaine said he plans to offer a lot of "thank yous" and said he would be introduced by his wife, Anne Holton, who prior to this campaign could not campaign for him as she was a judge.
