VIDEO: Liam's Laps for Somalia
Liam Davis-Wallace, a 6th grader at George Washington Middle School, successfully completed his fundraiser Feb. 24.
Liam Davis-Wallace swam at the YMCA on Monroe Avenue, biked and ran laps around his block in Alexandria's Rosemont neighborhood to raise money for children and families in Somalia.
Although he started out with a goal of raising about $1,000, he raised $2,908 through his UNICEF fundraising event page.
He completed 44 laps in all Feb 24.
