Torpedo Factory Main Hall and Waterfront Entrance
This summer, the remarkable artistry, inspiration, and impact of The AIDS Memorial Quilt returns to the DC area, including the Torpedo Factory Art Center. As 2012 marks its 25th anniversary, visitors are invited to experience this highly charged symbol of the AIDS crisis, and the largest community art project in the world. The Torpedo Factory Art Center will be hosting a section of the Quilt, with panels on exhibit in the main hall of the Art Center as well as on the dock out back.
Special Sneak Peek Reception: Friday, July 20, 6:30-8:30pm, $15 suggested donation to benefit the Alexandria Commission on HIV/AIDS
Closing Reception: Wednesday, July 25, 6-8pm

More About Torpedo Factory
In addition to housing six art galleries, the Torpedo Factory on N. Union St. provides studio space to about 150 artists, from jewelers to sculptors to photographers. The space holds events from live music to kid-friendly gallery tours.
