The meeting will include representatives from the project’s managing parties -- VDOT and the National Park Service--as well as staff from the City of Alexandria.

Managed by Director James B. Spengler, the Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities Department is housed at the Lee Center in Old Town. The department does everything from publish a recreation program guide to offering year-round camps and classes. It oversees pools, parks, concerts and much more. The department operates seven neighborhood centers and four specialty centers.
