Trick or Treat with the Boutiques!

Ghouls and goblins, witches and wizards of all ages will be trick or treating with the Old Town Boutique District this Halloween.  More than two dozen member stores will be handing out treats - and maybe some tricks - on October 29 from 11 am to 6 pm.

As a mom, I'm always looking for safe and fun ways to celebrate Halloween.  After we carve the pumpkin we got at the Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill pumpkin patch we don our scariest costumes - this year beware of Optimus Prime and don't let my little black cat cross your path - and hit the streets of Old Town.  

Since we started doing this three years ago, Trick or Treat with the Boutiques has become one of my kids' favorite Halloween traditions.  This year they will be able to make their own masks at The Christmas Attic (yes, they even have Halloween decorations!), get witch hat cookie cutters from La Cuisine and participate in Hooray for Books' Halloween Spooktacular (when you mention "I support the Junior League" HFB will donate 20% of your sale to buy books for children in need).

Now, this is not to say that there won't be fun for the grown ups.  If Mom and/or Dad dresses up there might just be a treat in it for them too!  Gossypia's Day of the Dead is particularly intriguing...
