Christ Church Celebrates International Women’s Day

Alexandria, VA, March 8, 2014 —Christ Church celebrates International Women’s Day with the program “Inspiring Change: Celebrating International Women's Day” Saturday, March 8, 2014, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Christ Church is hosting Empowered Women International for a day of celebrating women and encouraging advocacy for women's advancement everywhere in every way. The program will include a full course homemade Egyptian meal with Chef Aida Mady of Cooking and Beyond, as well as fellowship, heartfelt stories, prayer, reflection, art and hand-crafted goods.

Empowering stories behind the businesses will be shared by artists and entrepreneurs Nadia Janjua, Sharmila Karamchandani, and culinary entrepreneur Aida Mady. This event, including a meal, costs $12 per person.

Christ Church is a historic church with an active congregation. Located at 118 N. Washington St. in Alexandria, VA, Christ Church is home to 2,400 parishioners and provides ministry to communities local and global.
