Obama Family Dines at Union Street Public House

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were reportedly having lunch Friday at the Union Street Public House, as was confirmed by the restaurant.  The news of this unexpected lunch visit to Old Town brought a small ferver to Union Street.

Onlookers consisting of a mix of tourists, locals and press all gathered outside the restaurant once news spread that the president was to have lunch in Old Town.  The security presence of the Secret Service outside the pub included a number of black SUVs along with members of the service posted along the entire block. 

While the president and vice president didn't exit through the front, the first lady, Michelle Obama, and her daughter Malia with a friend made a quick appearance exiting through the front with their security detail.  In less than 15 seconds, the family were out the door, in the car and down the block.
