Founders Park is getting a new pathway surface installed in January.
The city's Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities Department is scheduled to install a new path surface on a portion of the walking trail at Founders Park.
About 180 feet of existing stone dust pathway will be resurfaced with a permeable surface maked of gravel and recycled tires.
The new path is expected to be stable, water permeable and handicap accessible as well as less prone to erosion.
The work is weather dependent and scheduled to occur between Jan. 7 and Jan. 25. Work areas will be closed to the public but the park will remain open.
