Mark Armed Forces Day with Civil War Era Band
Fort Ward is hosting a free Civil War 150th anniversary concert.
Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site is hosting a concert Saturday.
The Civil War 150th concert features the Federal City Brass Band performing in the amphitheater May 18 at 7 p.m. There is no charge to attend.
The Federal City Brass Band recreates the sound and appearance of a regular U.S. Army regimental brass band of the 1860s. A selection of mid-19th Century songs will be performed on original brass instruments.
