Austin Grill and Tequila Bar Unveils New Look with Monday Grand Reopening in Old Town Alexandria

Redesign includes chandelier made with tequila bottles.

Austin Grill and Tequila Bar, which has opened its doors again, after an extensive renovation, is showing off its new exterior and interior design at its grand re-opening Monday.

One of the focal points you can't miss? A chandelier made of tequila bottles (see photo). The bar offers 100 varieties of tequila. And — Hook 'em Horns — the design tiles on the bar include several burnt orange University of Texas Longhorn logos, a nod to the restaurant's Tex-Mex menu.

The new look is courtesy of Pamela Manhas, who has been designing restaurants since 1997. Her career has included the design of more than 100 restaurants nationwide.

Educated as an architect, she received her Design and Architecture degrees from the University of Florida. She began her architectural career working with legendary architect Richard Meier in New York. She has also worked on the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Wyndham Hotels and Darden Restaurants.
