Clothing boutique White House | Black Market is the latest big name to make a move to King Street.

The clothing store plans to take over the space currently housing carpet retailer Old Town Master Pieces at 903 King St.

A tweet from Alexandria’s Economic Development Partnership Thursday said: “Black & White is the trend for 2013: @WHBM will replace carpet store on King St.,” citing a link to a Washington Business Journal real estate story announcing the move.

The journal reports that Next Realty represented the landlord in the 10-year lease, while KLNB brokers represented White House|Black Market. The landlord is A & H.

The 4,326-square-foot store at King and N. Alfred streets will be White House | Black Market's 14th in the area, reports the journal.

I live right down the street. I'm so glad that I can live in Clarendon without moving to Arlington.
