In 2012, Old Town Alexandria Patch readers voted that the brunch at Vermilion is the best Mother’s Day brunch in the area. Vermillion is at 1120 King Street.

According to Yelp reviews, local residents seem to like Fontaine Caffe & Creperie for brunch, at 119 S Royal St. in Old Town. The “locally-owned causal European-style restaurant” offers brunch every weekend. See the brunch menu here.

Back in 2011, the group Bitches who Brunch put Rustico (in Ballston) on their best list. But the Alexandria brunch menu is just as good, featuring a number of breakfast items, pizzas and drinks.
