EDGE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE REPRESENTS LANDLORD OF ALEXANDRIA BUILDING IN 10,000-SQUARE-FOOT LEASE THAT TAKES PROPERTY TO FULL OCCUPANCY

April 7, 2014 (Alexandria, VA) – EDGE Commercial Real Estate, the leading locally owned commercial real estate advisory, management and investment company in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area, announces today that it has negotiated on behalf of the owner of 5505 Cherokee Ave. in Alexandria a 10,000-square-foot transaction that brings the 15,000-square-foot property to 100 percent leased.

Scott Rabin (srabin@edgecre.com), EDGE VA Regional Manager, and Vice President Cory Hoffman (choffman@edgecre.com) represented the landlord, 5605 General Washington Drive LLC, in completing the lease with Urban Evolution.

Last September, the owner of 5505 Cherokee Ave. engaged EDGE to market the building, and, just a few months later, this Alexandria property is fully occupied.

“We’re extremely pleased to have negotiated for 5605 General Washington Drive LLC in this 10,000-square-foot lease for Urban Evolution,” Rabin says. “The fact that this building is now 100 percent leased, even as the region’s commercial office market remains a bit soft, is a testament to the expertise and talent of the EDGE Landlord Advisory team.”
