City of Alexandria Refuse and Recycling Holiday Schedule
Pick up will be delayed one day on certain days, but operate on a normal schedule Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Alexandria, like many other communities celebrating the holiday season, will find itself with an increased amount of trash and recycling.
The city is reminding residents that due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays, which take place on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2013 trash and recycling will be picked up one day later than the normal schedule.
However, on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, pickup will operate on a normal refuse and recycling schedule.

Trash and recycling will be collected on the following schedule:
Regular Collection Holiday Collection
Monday, Dec. 24 Monday
Tuesday, Dec. 25 Wednesday
Wednesday, Dec. 26 Thursday
Thursday, Dec. 27 Friday
Monday, Dec. 31 Monday
