Waterfront Operations Update: November 2013

Upcoming Projects by Park:

All Parks:

  • Leaf removal will be an ongoing process through the season.

Founders Park:

Find out what's happening in Old Town Alexandriawith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • The new fountain near the dog park is scheduled to be winterized before November 22.
  • There is planned trail work to assist with drainage at select locations. This work has not yet been scheduled but will most likely be completed before the end of the year.

King Street Park:

  • There will be work on the tide gate beneath the manhole cover in the park. The work will have very little impact on the park and park access. Contact me if you would like more information on this project.

Waterfront Park:

  • Sections of the landscaping timbers are planned for replacement. This work has not yet been scheduled but will most likely be completed before the end of the year.

Windmill Hill Park:

  • Clearing of the stream bed near the dog park will continue until complete.
