Some cover bands limit themselves to one era, or one band, or even one song played over and over—but not so with the Landsharks. Veterans of the stage at Walt Disney World, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Café, and the Patriots big-game victory party in 2005, the seven-piece ensemble’s repertoire takes on guises that span decades and themes but always holds a special affinity for Buffet’s island-hopping daydreaming. The group has even played with the man himself on several occasions. At The Carlyle Club, the Landsharks don their Hawaiian shirts for a beach bash, pulling out Jimmy Buffett favorites between jams from Bob Marley, Chubby Checker, and UB40.
