As George Washington's home town celebrates his 281st birthday, Agenda:Alexandria brings together a distinguished panel to provide insights into the life and times of our First Citizen. Mary Thompson, Research Historian at Mount Vernon, has been described as knowing more about Washington than anyone alive. Bob Madison, author of Walking with Washington: Walking Tours of Alexandria, Virginia - will bring to light little known information about Washington as a surveyor and politician. From siblings to spinets, Helen Wirka will explore the lifelong friendship of George Washington and John Carlyle.
