APYC Christmas Tree Sale Underway

All proceeds from the sale will go toward sending Alexandria kids to summer camp.

The Alexandria Police Youth Camp is kicking off its annual Christmas tree sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at the parking lot at the city’s Union Station.

Each year, hundreds of trees are brought to Alexandria from West Virginia for the APYC benefit.

“This is our largest fundraiser, with 100 percent of the proceeds being applied toward sending kids to camp in the summer of 2014,” said Alexandria Police Officer Marcus Downey, board president of APYC.
