How to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Alexandria
Trees will be picked up curbside for recycling on regular refuse collection days between Jan. 6 and Jan. 17.
With visions of sugarplums a near distant memory, it's time to put that once grand Christmas tree on the curb.
But that tree can come back as mulch in the spring for Alexandria residents who place their former Christmas trees at the curb on their regular trash day between Monday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 17.
The city asks that residents please remove any tree stands, lights and decorations from the tree before placing it at the curb.
