On  the City of Alexandria website under Transit Subsidies
you will find that the City Officials are subsidizing the DASH & WMTA bus service in excess of 17 MILLION  of taxpayer dollars per year. I find this to be a DISGUSTING waste of taxpayer money in view of the fact that these bus services operate at a less  than
15% occupancy rate.  Surely there must be a better less expensive way to transport the poor and seniors
around the City.  How about using smaller buses and
eliminating some of the routes.
