Young Life in an Old Town: Easter Egg Hunts Around Town

No plans for Easter yet? It's time to hop to it with this round-up of eggstra special events in Alexandria.

Did you receive an email recently from “Unsuccessful Lottery Notification” informing you that you did not win coveted tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll? If so, there’s no need to despair.

Try as I might to win tickets every year, I know that the White House event is not all it’s cracked up to be (pardon the second bad pun but I couldn’t resist). I secured tickets two years ago and the wait to enter the White House lawn was atrocious. I recall that the ratio of minutes spent waiting in line to minutes spent egg rolling was about 30-to-1. There are several egg hunting opportunities closer to home and if the scenery is not quite as exciting as the White House lawn, I guarantee that it’s all the same to your toddler.
