Alexandria Police Investigating Robbery at Sunoco Station on N. Quaker Lane

The suspect produced a knife and demanded cash.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery from the Sunoco Service Station, located at 1639 N. Quaker Lane, the department noted Friday in a news release.

On May 27, a Tuesday, around 10:30 p.m., an adult male entered the service station, produced a knife and demanded cash. The suspect then removed cash from the register and fled on foot toward the 7-Eleven next door on Quaker Lane. 

The station, open 24 hours for purchasing gas, is near the Fairlington, Park Fairfax and Braddock Heights neighborhoods. The gas station is just down the street from Wells Fargo Bank and Fairlington Shopping Center, which were all closed at the time, except for Ramparts.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” between 200 to 220 pounds.
