Alexandria Police Seek Suspect in Old Town Bank Robbery

Alexandria police are seeking a suspect in relation to the Saturday, Dec. 28 robbery of the M&T Bank branch located at 833 S. Washington St.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 40 to 50 years old standing approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. The suspect was seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses, police said. 

Just before 1 p.m. on Saturday, the suspect entered the bank branch and handed the officer a note demanding money. The suspect left the scene after receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, police said. There were no injuries.
