Crime Report: Man Arrested After Stealing Purse at Gunpoint

May 5 - An assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 400 block of Holland La. at 7:16 a.m. The case is open. 

May 4 - An arrest was made for assault in the 1000 block of Oronoco St. at 1:30 a.m.

May 3 - A theft was reported in the 900 block of First St. at 9:02 p.m. The case is open.

May 3 - A representative of a company reported that unknown suspects stole fire hydrant installation equipment from two construction sites in the area (location not available). The incident at 1:21 p.m. The case is pending.

May 3 - A case of embezzlement was reported in the 1300 block of Powhatan St. at 12:12 a.m. The case is open. 

May 1 - Unknown suspect/s entered a vehicle through a partially opened window and stole a GPS unit and attachments. The incident occurred in the 900 block of Prince St. at 11:13 a.m. The case is pending.

May 1 - An arrest was made in an assault between two or more people who had a prior relationship. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Oronoco St. at 5:31 a.m.

May 1 - An assault was reported at 12:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Oronoco St. between two or more people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other. The case is pending.

April 30 - A thief stole a UPS-delivered package from the front porch of a residence in the 1600 block of Hunting Creek Dr. at 10:24 p.m. The case is pending.

April 30 - An unknown suspect stole a parking sticker off a vehicle bumper while it was parked in front of a residence in the 1900 block of King St. at 12:30 p.m. The case is pending.

April 30 - Unknown suspect/s entered a man's unlocked vehicle and stole coins and his vehicle registration. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Prince St. at 12:11 p.m. The case is pending.

April 30 - A victim reported that unknown suspect/s entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his iPod and coins. The incident occurred in the 700 block of N. Columbus St. at 11:51 a.m. The case is pending.

April 30 - A victim reported that unknown suspect/s entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a camera case from the back seat. Two lenses and the case were found some distance away, but the camera was missing. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Cameron St. at 10:22 a.m. The case is pending.

April 30 - A breaking-and-entering incident in which unknown suspect/s smashed the glass front door of a business in the 800 N. Fairfax St. occurred at 5:05 a.m. The case is pending.

April 29 - A victim was walking in the 200 block of N. Columbus St. when she was approached from behind by an unknown subject who stole her purse at the point of a gun. The victim later identified the man, who was arrested. The incident occurred at 10:08 p.m.

April 29 - Three known pre-teen subjects were playing and one of them assaulted another and cut his arm with a piece of old scrap metal requiring several stitches. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Wythe St. at 3:07 p.m. The case is open.

April 29 - An assault occurred between two or more people who had a prior relationship in the 2100 block of Jamieson Ave. at 3:55 p.m. The case is pending.
