Crime Report: 14 Missing Cypress Trees and Lots of Items Stolen from Cars

March 10 - A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 400 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. at 8:49 a.m. The case is pending.

March 9 - Theft of property from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Franklin St. at 5:07 p.m. The case is pending.

March 9 - A theft was reported in the 1700 block of Duke St. at 4:37 p.m. The case is open.

March 6 - A victim reported that a thief stole two gold and diamond rings from her apartment in the 500 block of Slaters Lane at 6:42 p.m. The case is open.

March 6 - A shoplifting offense was reported in the 1200 block of King St. at 10:32 a.m. The case is open.

March 5 - Theft of property from a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of N. Payne St. at 3:46 p.m. The case is pending.

March 5 - A victim reported that someone stole 14 cypress trees from planters in front of her business in the 100 block of N. Pitt St. at 10:15 a.m. The case is pending.

March 4 - A woman reported an unknown suspect stole her wallet from her purse located in a shopping cart in a store in the 1700 block of Duke St. at 9:38 p.m. The theft was seen on video. The case is open.
