Jefferson Village Fire Displaces 4

The cause of the second-story fire remains under investigation.

The Alexandria Fire Department crews responded to a blaze Sunday afternoon in the 1500 block of Princess Street that displaced four people.

The fire occurred at around 3 p.m. Sunday in the second-story bedroom of the home in Jefferson Village. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, according to an AFD spokesperson.

The fire displaced four occupants, the spokesman said. The Red Cross secured temporary lodging for them while the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority—which owns Jefferson Village—seeks a long-term living situation for the displaced.
