Officer Peter Laboy Among Those to Receive Public Safety Valor Award
The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on N. Fairfax Street.
Officer Peter Laboy is among a group of public safety personnel with the Alexandria Police Department, Fire Department and Sheriff's Office to be honored Thursday for heroic acts of valor.
Laboy, who continues a recovery from injuries he suffered in a shooting in Old Town Alexandria, will receive an award at the 2014 Public Safety Valor Awards Ceremony and Luncheon. Laboy was shot in the head during a traffic stop in February 2013.
