Police Make Arrest in Carlyle Area Abduction and Assault

James Savage Click, 23, of no fixed address, has been arrested and charged with abduction and felonious assault.

Alexandria Police have arrested James Savage Click, 23, of no fixed address, for that happened Tuesday evening.

Two women had planned to meet a man who they believed would show them an available apartment, but instead he took them to an abandoned building in the Carlyle neighborhood of Alexandria, near the city jail.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. in the 2200 block of Mill Road. He has been charged with two counts of abduction and two counts of felonious assault and is being held at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.

The two victims were physically assaulted but were able to fight back and escape from the building.

Police were called and officers on the Special Operations Team and the K-9 unit searched the building with negative results. The women were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
