Police Make Two Arrests in DWI Enforcement Effort
Police conducted a roaming enforcement effort from Saturday night through Sunday morning.
Alexandria police made two arrests for driving while intoxicated during the recent roaming DWI enforcement effort.
Police stopped 75 vehicles during the initiative that ran from Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sept. 9. They also issued 60 tickets for miscellaneous traffic offenses during that time.
Six Alexandria police officers, two Sheriff’s deputies and one emergency communications technician participated in the mobile enforcement effort.
