Police Reports: Assaults, DUI Arrests in the Old Town Area

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Old Town area.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Oct. 4

2 a.m. — An arrest was made for driving under the influence in the 100 block of Wolfe Street.

Oct. 2

7:06 p.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen from the 800 block of N. Pitt Street.

3:46 p.m. —A victim reported that their identity had been stolen and used for fraudulent activity.

3:06 p.m. — Bicycles were reported stolen from a parking lot in the 500 block of Slaters Lane.

Oct. 1

3:26 p.m. — A rocking chair was reported stolen from a porch in the 700 block of N. Alfred Street.

1:57 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 500 block of Queen Street.

Sept. 30

7:09 p.m. — Unknown suspects stole an iPod from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Princess Street.

3:11 p.m. — A victim reported an unknown suspect let the air out her vehicle’s tires while it was parked in the 100 block of N. Royal Street.

2:41 p.m. — An assault between two or more people who had a prior relationship was reported in the 300 block of Wythe Street.

1:21 a.m. — A traffic stop at the corner of N. Henry and Princess streets resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.

Sept. 29

9:52 p.m. — A subject was arrested for using false information to apply for a credit card by using false identification near the corner of King and Washington streets. 

11:21 a.m. — Graffiti on a stop sign was reported in the 1100 block of Wythe St. 

Sept. 28

12:37 a.m. — A traffic stop in the 500 block of S. Fairfax Street resulted in an arrest fro driving under the influence.

Sept. 27

Noon — An assault incident between two people who work with each other was reported in the 800 block of S. Washington St. One of the persons involved reportedly brandished a knife.

6:05 a.m. — A victim was robbed of her purse and a tote bag by an unknown person while opening her business for the day in the 500 block of N. Washington Street.
