Police Reports: Man Robbed by Subject on Bicycle

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Old Town area.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Sept. 12

3:16 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 1400 block of King Street.

1:24 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 400 block of S. Royal Street.

1:17 a.m. — A suspect was arrested for public drunkenness in the 500 block of King Street.

Sept. 11

10:56 p.m. — An arrest was made for a drug offense in the 1300 block of Pendleton Street.

12:43 p.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 500 block of S. Washington Street.

10:07 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 100 block of S. West Street.

7:38 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 800 block of Bashford Lane.

Sept. 9

10:21 p.m. — A victim was attempting to enter his residence when he was robbed of cash by an unknown subject who was riding a bicycle.

7:22 p.m. — A suspect was arrested at the corner of Colonial Avenue and First Street for an unspecified sexual offense. To protect the victim's privacy, police have not made a narrative of this case available.

4:45 p.m. — A victim was assaulted by an elderly subject who emptied the victim’s bag of vegetables picked from the community garden in the 900 block of Lee Street.  

3:02 p.m. — A suspect was arrested in the 1000 block of N. Henry Street and charged with possession of cocaine.

12:54 p.m. — Graffiti was reported spray painted on a traffic control box in the 600 block of S. Washington Street.

Sept. 8

3:27 p.m. — An iPhone was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Wolfe Street. Another unlocked vehicle of the victim was entered and ransacked but nothing was taken.

4:27 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault at the corner of Duke and Washington Streets.

Sept. 7

9:48 p.m. — An assault occurred between a customer and a waitress at a restaurant in the 200 block of King Street.

8:59 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 300 block of Pendleton Street.

4:44 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 900 block of Wythe Street.

Sept. 6

11:49 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for public drunkenness in the 300 block of King Street.

7:10 p.m. — During a routine stop for a traffic violation, a subject assaulted the officers involved. Warrants were issued for resisting arrest, open container of alcohol and petty larceny.

1:51 p.m. — A victim reported her wallet was stolen after she inadvertently left it on a counter in the 100 block of N. Union Street.

12:30 p.m. — A suspect was arrested in the 1300 block of Madison Street and charged with possession of cocaine.

Sept. 5

6:19 p.m. — Cash, a backpack, drill bits and a charger were reported stolen from an unlocked work truck parked in the 300 block of S. Fayette Street.
