Police Reports: MS 13 Graffiti, Thefts in Old Town

Recent crime and incidents in the Old Town area as reported by the Alexandria Police Department.

The following crimes were reported by the Alexandria Police Department via crimereports.com. The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents.

July 11

3:48 a.m. – A person reported a burglary/breaking and entering in the 900 block of North St. Asaph Street.

1:52 p.m. – A person reported a burglary/breaking and entering in the 1100 block of King Street.

July 10

3:15 p.m. – An arrest was made in relation to trespassing in the 1500 block of Princess Street.

July 9

10:39 a.m. - A person reported items stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Chetworth Place.

11:31 a.m. – A person reported items stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Duke Street.

6:31 p.m. – A person reported destruction or damage of property in the 1300 block of Michigan Avenue.

July 8

7:38 a.m. – A person reported that someone stole their purse and its contents while they were sleeping. The report was made in the 500 block of King Street.

8:33 a.m. - A person reported items stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Chetworth Court.

11:45 a.m. – A person reported a burglary/breaking and entering in the 800 block of King Street.

7:29 p.m. – A person reported a larceny/theft offense as well as destruction of property in the 500 block of Bashford Lane.

9:42 p.m. – A person reported that someone used their credit card to make fraudulent purchases. The report was made in the 1200 block of Portner Road.

July 7

10:51 a.m. – A person reported someone spray painted graffiti on a garage door in the 400 block of Wilkes Street.

1:33 p.m. – A person reported that someone spray painted “MS 13” on their vehicle in the 700 block of Wilkes Street.

4:02 p.m. - A person reported their bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 200 block of South Fairfax Street.
