Police Reports: Stolen Vehicles, Assaults in Old Town

July 20

3:52 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 600 block of Lee Street.

1:34 p.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen from the 600 block of S. Saint Asaph Street.

July 19

11:29 p.m. — An arrest was made for possession of a weapon by a felon in the 800 block of N. Patrick Street.

July 18

6:38 p.m. — An arrest was made for driving under the influence at the corner of Gibbon and Columbus streets.

3:46 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 800 block of King Street.

July 17

10:22 a.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1200 block of N. Fayette Street.

4:04 a.m. — An arrest was made for destruction of property and theft from a vehicle at the corner of Madison and Patrick streets.

July 16

1:37 p.m. — Cash was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Chetworth Place.

July 15

9:22 p.m. — Police are investigating a sudden death that was reported in the 300 block of S. West Street. Due to the nature of the case, a narrative has not been made available from the Alexandria Police Department.

1:41 p.m. — Two topiary plants were reported stolen from the front of a residence in the 300 block of S. Royal Street.

1:16 p.m. — A victim reported the vent covers of the bathroom and clothes dryer were stolen from his residence in the 400 block of N. Fairfax Street.

12:23 p.m. — A camera and lenses were reported stolen from inside a car parked in the 800 block of N. Fairfax Street.

11:38 a.m. — Two bicycle tires were reported stolen from a bike secured to a backyard fence in the 400 block of N. Henry Street.

2:08 a.m. — Two laptops and a cell phone were reported stolen from the interior of a locked car parked in the 100 block of King Street.

July 14

3:31 a.m. — An assault was reported at 3:31 a.m. at the corner of King and Lee streets.

July 13

11:09 p.m. — Police investigated a sudden death that occurred in the 1200 block of S. Washington Street. Due to the nature of the case, the Alexandria Police Department has not released a narrative. 

4:17 a.m. — A suspect was arrested being drunk and public and possession of illegal drugs at the corner of Alfred and King streets.

July 12

5:16 p.m. — An arrest was made for possession of marijuana in the 800 block of N. Fayette Street.

8:59 a.m. — An woman’s purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle as she was escorting her child into a daycare center in the 1200 block of Princess Street.

July 11

11:04 a.m. — Two laptops were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of John Carlyle Street.

4:59 a.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from Jones Point Park.

3:48 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 900 block of N. Saint Asaph Street.

1:52 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 1100 block of King Street.

1:06 a.m. — A victim reported his jacket, money, cell phone and credit cards were stolen from his motorcycle parked in an alleyway just off the 100 block of King Street.
