Police Reports: Thefts, Assaults in Old Town Alexandria

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Old Town area.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Jan. 5

3:30 p.m. — Police investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of Duke Street.

Jan. 4

1:21 p.m. — Police made an arrest in an attempted abduction incident in the 600 block of John Carlyle Street.

4:07 p.m. — A theft was reported from a building in the 1700 block of King Street.

Jan. 3

12:54 p.m. — A vehicle theft was reported in the 800 block of Wythe Street.

Jan. 2

12:54 a.m. — An arrest was made for driving under the influence in the 100 block of S. Patrick Street.

3:44 p.m. — A theft was reported from a building in the 1700 block of Duke Street.

1:55 p.m. — Shoplifting was reported in the 500 block of King Street.

7 a.m. — A fraud offense was reported in the 1600 block of Boyle Street.

Jan. 1

7:49 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 1100 block of S. Washington Street.

5:58 p.m. — A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Fayette Street.

Dec. 31

1:17 a.m. — A robbery was reported in the 100 block of N. West Street.

10:56 p.m. — An incident involving assault and credit card theft was reported in the 100 block of King Street.

12:14 p.m. — A theft from vehicle was reported at the corner of Montgomery and N. Saint Asaph streets.

12:02 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 1000 block of N. Henry Street.
