Police Reports: Thefts, Assaults in the Old Town Alexandria Area

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Old Town area.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Oct. 27

2:12 a.m. — An arrest was made for driving under the influence near he corner of N. Fayette and Queen streets.

4:21 a.m. – An assault was reported in the 100 block of S. Union Street.

7:31 p.m. — A theft was reported near the corner of King and Washington streets.

4:44 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 1000 block of Madison Street.

3:04 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 1300 block of Duke Street.

1:58 p.m. — A subject was arrested for public drunkenness in the 700 block of King Street.

Oct. 24

8:34 p.m. — An arrest was made for counterfeiting-forging and theft offenses in the 300 block of Commerce Street.

2:47 p.m. — A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of Prince Street.

11:53 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 800 block of King Street.

Oct. 23

10:48 p.m. — A subject was arrested and charged with felony destruction of property after allegedly damaging the interior of a residence in the 1300 block of Wythe Street.

10:05 p.m. — A tourniquet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 800 block of N. Columbus Street.

4:25 p.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 500 block of King Street.

Oct. 22

1:08 p.m. — A woman’s purse was reported stolen from a church in the 300 block of N. Alfred Street.

12:46 p.m. — Graffiti was reported in the 100 block of S. West Street.

10:01 a.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen from the 800 block of S. Alfred Street.

5:55 a.m. — A locked bicycle was reported stolen from a rack at Braddock Road Metro station in the 700 block of N. West Street.

Oct. 21

4:10 p.m. — A victim reported that the kitchen window of her home in the 900 block of N. Henry Street had been broken.

3:11 p.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.

12:32 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from a storage shed of an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Oronoco Street.

11:20 a.m. — A subject working in the 500 block of Montgomery Street reported coming across pornographic coverage on a hard drive his organization was working off.

9:50 a.m. — A laptop was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 400 block of S. Columbus Street.   

Oct. 19

10:07 p.m. — An assault was reported at the corner of N. Patrick and Oronoco streets.

8:47 p.m. — An unknown irate subject broke the steel cash exchange drawer at a gas station in the 600 block of S. Patrick Street.

6:16 p.m. — A locked bicycle was reported stolen from a parking garage in the 600 block of N. Fayette Street.

2:37 a.m. — An iPhone was reported stolen in the 1300 block of King Street.
