Police Reports: Thefts, Narcotics Arrests in the Old Town Area

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Old Town area.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Sept. 28

12:37 a.m. — A traffic stop in the 500 block of S. Fairfax Street resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.

Sept. 27

10:05 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 1500 block of King Street.

2:40 p.m. — An arrest was made for a narcotics offense in the 700 block of N. West Street.

Noon — An assault was reported in the 800 block of N. Washington Street.

3:52 a.m. — An arrest was made for trespassing in the 1300 block of Wythe Street.

1:17 a.m. — An assault was reported in the 700 block of N. Alfred Street.

Sept. 26

11:36 p.m. — An arrest was made for a narcotics offense in the 600 block of N. Payne Street.

Sept. 25

11:41 p.m. — Arrests were made for trespassing and disorderly conduct in the 400 block of N. Fairfax Street.

7:05 p.m. — A traffic stop in the 1000 block of Duke Street resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.

11:22 a.m. — Two vehicles were reported vandalized in the 700 block of Potomac Street.

8:54 a.m. — A shoplifting offense was reported in the 500 block of First Street.

Sept. 24

10:05 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 600 block of Cameron Street.

Sept. 23

9:38 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for theft in the 800 block of Queen Street.

8:16 p.m. — A tampering-with-auto offense was reported in the 300 block of Wolfe Street.

6:57 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 100 block of King Street.

5:50 p.m. — A bank manager working in the 500 block of S. Washington Street reported an unknown subject who attempted to pass a bad check

10:46 a.m. — The front license plate from a vehicle parked at the corner of N. Saint Asaph and Princess streets was reported stolen.

Sept. 22

8:44 p.m. — A locked bicycle was reported stolen near the corner of Bashford Lane and Pitt Street.

5 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 900 block of Princess Street.

2:30 p.m. — A hand cart was reported stolen from the garage in the 800 block of N. Pitt Street.

1:16 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 600 block of N. Alfred Street.

1:07 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Holland Lane.

Sept. 20

4:14 p.m. — A victim in the 1000 block of Pendleton Street reported being scammed by enlisting as a “secret shopper.”

1:45 p.m. — A laptop was reported stolen from the meeting room of a hotel in the 1900 block of Diagonal Road.
