Police Seek Help Tracking Down Old Town Bicycle Thief
Suspect caught on camera stealing three bikes out of condominium garage on N. Washington Street.
Alexandria police are trying to track down a bicycle thief that used bolt cutters to slice chain locks in the garage of a N. Washington Street condominium last week, according to WJLA.
The suspect was captured on surveillance camera in the act of stealing three bicycles, one of which was valued at more than $1,000. He was seen wearing baggy shorts, a black baseball cap and orange shirt.
The suspect forced his way into the condominium near the corner of N. Washington and Montgomery streets in North Old Town early the morning of June 29.

Police told WJLA they believe this suspect may be responsible for two other crimes that took place at the building earlier in the year.
