Updated: Police Arrest Suspect in Eisenhower Avenue Assault
Shaun Carlan, 44, was allegedly involved in the assault on Sept. 11.
Updated Oct. 28 — Police arrested Shaun Carlan in Pennsylvania on Friday morning.
Carlan is being held at the Armstrong County Adult Detention Center pending extradition.

Alexandria Police are looking for Shaun Carlan, a 44-year-old white male, in connection with an assault that occurred near Eisenhower Avenue.
On Sept. 11 at approximately 2 a.m., Carlan took a female victim into a wooded area between the 4600 to 4900 block of Eisenhower Avenue, by the water park. Carlan physically assaulted the victim and attempted to sexually assault her.
Carlan left the victim "nearly dead," according to the victim's roommate although the police say she had non life-threatening injuries.
Shaun Carlan is 5-foot-11 and weighs 200 pounds.
