Update: Police Offer New Photos of Suspect in Robbery at Virginia Commerce Bank

Bank on Prince Street robbed July 5

Updated with new photos on July 22, 2011: Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Virginia Commerce Bank, located at 1414 Prince Street.

A man entered the bank July 5 around 12:28 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, thin and just over six feet tall. The suspect was wearing a yellow construction helmet, a black sleeveless shirt over a white long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left on a silver mountain bicycle. No one was injured, according to the police.
