Sheriff's Office Seeks Public Comment as Part of Accreditation Process

The Sheriff's Office is asking for comments from interested community members during its on-site assessment this month.

The is seeking re-accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, an international organization facilitating the pursuit of law enforcement excellence.

CALEA first accredited the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office in July 1990 and it has been reaccredited every term since then, most recently in 2009.
